The Big Bear Sports Ranch is designed for campers ages 7-17. Our goal is to enhance each campers love for their sport by improving their skills in a "fun-filled" healthy sporting atmosphere. Our high quality instructional programs are run by the finest directors available in their specific sports. Since 1971, over 28,000 summer campers have attended the Big Bear Sports Ranch. Our main goal is to provide programs and an environment that will help all campers build skills, character and friends...for a lifetime.

Director: Bob Durkin

Coach Durkin has been involved in the BBSR since the 1980’s when he was a counselor. He now resides in Palm Desert where he coaches juniors and adults as the head pro at Palm Valley Country Club. This will be his 14thth summer as our director and he will also be in charge of the BBSR tennis program. He and his family will be at camp all summer to insure that all campers have a fun, safe and rewarding experience.

Imagine a summer filled with fun and adventure; a summer to explore new activities and play different sports; a summer to develop skills and make new friends.
